I miss my dead dog so much, I don't know what to do.?
We recently found out that she had cancer and had to put her to sleep. I wasn’t there for her when they put her down. That morning I had no idea that it would be my last time seeing her, so I didn’t say goodbye. I feel so guilty. I miss her big, brown eyes so much. I miss her tail that would wag happily every day. It’s been about a month, and it just hit me that she’s gone. She was a truly beautiful soul. I’m devastated that she’s gone. Her name was Annabelle. I am miserable. What should I do?
Immediately replace your loving dog with another.

You can maybe set up a memorial for her so that you can go to when you’re sad and just think of the happy memories, say your goodbyes, etc. Or you can try to get over her by getting another dog. That might be difficult, though.

You should give yourself time to adjust and mourn. It’s never easy to put an animal down. They become like family members. Comfort yourself with the knowledge that you gave her the best life she could have had, and you let her die with dignity. That’s one of the most important things. Think about all the good times you had together, celebrate her life. Make a scrapbook of her to help you think of and remember the good times.

I would know that Annabelle used to suffer with cancer, but she doesn’t anymore.
Mourning over a loss will not make life any better. I know this sounds harsh..
But there are times when you have to move on. If words don’t help, check out this site:

This site is for people who just lost their furry, feathered, or scaled pets.
All are welcome. Then one day, both of you will cross the rainbow bridge together..

Remember Annabelle and she still lives in your mind.
She sounds like a lovely dog.
Time heals.
That’s all I got.
Best Wishes.

There is a web site called Find A Grave. You can go there and set up a memorial to your dog (free web site) and leave little notes or on line flowers, etc. It is a real comfort for those who have lost loved ones, friends and yes, even their beloved pets. By going there whenever you feel sad, it will help by showing your love for you precious friend. Also, think about bringing a new pup into your life. The shelters are filled with them who need a good home and lots of love. So sorry for your loss.

i know exactly where you are coming from…my dog just died on tuesday (jan. 26) and that dog was my everything…she was literally my best friend…i am 21 years old and we got her when i was 5, she was going to be 16 this year on april 1st…i am off at college during the week and since she died on tuesday i could not be there with her…before i left last weekend i told her bye but didn’t cuddle with her and love her like i usually do and now i struggle everyday that i didn’t tell my best friend good-bye and now she is gone…my dog’s name was Ariel, she was a cocker spaniel/black lab mix…Ariel was my best friend…i am taking it so hard that i am seriously considering counseling…most people would call me stupid for going to couseling over a dog, but when a dog is such a big part of your life its just as hard as losing someone in the family…i know where you are coming from and i hope your grieving goes away soon, but i know mine will last a while too

I lost a dog a few years ago from a tumor, he was so great! It was so sad to loose him! But my family and I put together an album of pictures of him and we made a beautiful scrap book! We also voted on our favorite picture and had it engraved in a stone with his name on it! It was beautiful! If you decide to get another dog do what we did, we decided to adopt. Although we lost one dog, we knew we could help another if we adopted it from the shelter! My mutt cooper is now our dog, and he is just lovely! My dog, Rusty, who passed away from the tumor had a single white spot on his chest, when we went and looked at Cooper he also had a white spot on his chest. I know it’s weird, but we just had to have him after it! Hope you get better!!!
